The wraparound by Kuzmenko crossed the goal line, yet Hiller didn't challenge. womp womp. Kings played 40 minutes, Oilers played 20 minutes. I hope both teams play 60 minutes. In that case, I think the Kings have better depth in all areas this year. 3 scoring lines with excellent backchecking, a better D corps, and comparable goaltending to Skinner (both were .800). Oilers rely too much on McDraisaitl to win them games. Kings in 6 or 7.
What’s worst then skinner being bad ( we do like him ) is the management refusing to accept or acknowledge that he’s not ready for a starting position in the playoffs. Like he’s passable in regular season only because our team is good. If stew was on sanjose filling blackwoods old role, he wouldn’t even be in the nhl anymore

Did Skinner play bad, yes. Did the defence hang him out to dry absolutely. However to win a championship you need a goalie who can still somehow come up with the saves and wins even when the defence plays terrible.

I mean, I've been shocked that analysts had the Oilers winning this series. The Oilers have been slipping for a month, while LA is just on a wild heater. I think LA has more depth, they clearly have the stronger goaltender and no one on earth would argue differently. I dunno, I think it's shocking, despite the Draisaitl/McJesus fact0r. 2 players have proved they can put a team on their backs and win series. This year, the Oilers and Oilers fans are expecting too much from them. This is an LA won series (and I've been saying this for 10 or 14 days! I'm so fkin smart 🤣🤣

more like recurring nightmare for the LA Kings. Feeling good going into the 3rd at 4-1 and almost being forced to OT with 40 seconds left. The Oilers took all the fun and confidence out of that win.

Absolute negligence by Oilers management to not acquire a real goalie, they are wasting McDavid and Draisaidl’s primes. Skinner is beyond brutal.
I really feel bad for Connor McDavid. He is a top tier player who has just gotten unlucky with the team he's on. If he was on a decent team he would probably have a Stanley cup win by now. Generational talent wasted on the Oilers.

As a Flyers fan I'd like to personally thank Kuzmenko for those beautiful 7 games in Philly and for doing everything possible to make that Edmonton first rounder we have as high as possible this year.
And then we beat them 6-2 in Game 2

Edmonton fans bashing on Stuart Skinner is getting old and has always been ridiculous. If you want a top tier goalie, then get one and pay the money. Edmonton cannot because of all the money tied up in McDavid, Draisatl and Nurse. You cannot blame McDavid and Draisatl – they are the two best players in hockey. However, my god the defense corp of the Oilers is dreadful. Injuries don't help the situation. Nevertheless, Skinner doesn't deserve any of this hate or blame.
