That's a bad call. Tampa tried goading Tkachuk into matching minors or worse, and even though he never escalated or even responded like for like they got the call. That should've been one on Cirelli or Hagel and that's it. The league has been rewarding this rat behavior of "let me go after player x (usually a high caliber player with some bite to his game- the kind of player people pay to see play, not sit in the box) and hope he reacts to my provocation bc then we'll both be sent off- or if he bites on this bs he may get the extra and/or get more scrutiny for a future call". Tampa should focus on scoring instead of their usual strategy of trying to get a rise out of players to get them in the box. It didn't work with toronto a couple years ago so how will it work on the cats?
