———————————– https://www.facebook.com/sportsnet https://twitter.com/sportsnet https://www.instagram.com/sportsnet/ https://www.tiktok.com/@sportsnet ———————————– #nhl

  1. How is that not only a penalty, but also at least a game misconduct??? I've seen Timo Meier pull this nonsense several times before too. He's also clearly intentionally railroaded Shesterkin in the playoffs. The league needs to protect goalies better.

  2. Heard about it but did not see it until now. Should have been SOMETHING called. Not intentional? Who knows – maybe. Are trips and high sticks intentional? RARELY. Meier looks to lower his shoulder there when he is going in, and Svech does not look to "cause" the collision. Hard to believe nothing was called. Have rarely seen reviews go Carolina's way, even when there is cause.

  3. If I’m a hurricane I’m bumping markstrom every chance I get for the rest of the series.

  4. The league has publicly released a statement saying they got the call correct. The video assistant referees in Toronto had been told by the DraftKings executives that New Jersey had to win this game in order to generate a profit. The profit would then go to 12 more ads in the second round. But since they let Carolina win, the on-ice referees will likely be suspended without pay.

  5. John Tavares get elbowed in the face, misses game time and being on the power play due to concussion protocol; no call. Now this and there have been others. Consistent calls and actually enforcing rules that exist isn’t too much to ask for, neither is caring about player safety. BS. NJ, from the lowlights, sure seems to be wanting to take out as many players as possible this series… including their own.

  6. What a pu**y. Barely touches him. All the sudden he’s dead… wtf. All those pads. Taking 100mph shots and he gets bumped into and he dies. Pathetic

  7. Freddy Andersen had many good seasons with Toronto. Hate to see him get injured! Wishing a good recovery.

  8. At first, I thought that Freddy might have flopped (and I'm a 'Canes fan), but after looking at the replays, he was tracking the puck as it was coming his way and Meier ran into Freddy just as the puck was passing him by. Was it intentional? That's iffy. If he was intent on injuring Andersen, I felt he could have come in with more force. However, I do feel that it should have been at least a double-minor penalty and a power play for Carolina.

  9. Inentional or not, the contact was made deep inside the crease and Carolina is down a goaltender. The fact that a penalty wasnt called is laughable when you look at some of the calls the refs HAVE been making in this series. NHL might take the #1 spot for worst officiating.

  10. Wtf was that BS wow just wow, also no one goes after the guy, carolina is weak ass sheesh

  11. Andersen is a crystal chandelier, he breaks very easily, and this incident looks VERY MILD.

  12. I am sorry but that looks like the lightest bump i’ve ever seen to be taken out of a game. I get Andersen has a history of injuries but jeez that looked like it didn’t even hurt

  13. Тимо Майер чёртов неудачник!Не может ничего выиграть,вот и злится.

  14. “I predict Timo Meier to do something aggregious in a penalty this series” -Ben Oakley

  15. Feel bad for Andersen being a goalie myself, but Canes took a risk with his long injury history. Andersen is a good goalie, but just not durable enough to last long.
