You haven't been an Avs fan long if you see a playoff series against the Stars and you think to yourself, "we can win this." I've been with the Avs since day 1, and my PTSD is real.
After the trouble of past two years for Val nichushkin , I really thought he was going to go into these playoffs hungry like a wolf . I thought he was going for redemption . I don’t see any fire in him , does the cup mean anything to him??

It’s strange, some games the Avalanche are Hot and then the next game, I have not idea who is on the ice. I don’t see the Avalanche winning 2 in a row because they have not been consistent. Both the Stars and Avalanche have not been consistent. I do have faith but very little. Prayer Faith.
Bottom line is this. This was the first really poorly played game in the series by the Avalanche. And that's going to happen, in any seven game series. This is EXACTLY why you can't give away games you should've won, like games two and three. Game three, there was NO EXCUSE for the Avs to lose that one. Four minute penalty, heading into OT and Lehky misses a wide open net. Well, it caught up with them tonight. Now the Avs have to win two in a row, if they want to continue. And yeah, guys like Drouin, Coyle, Nelson, Val and others really sucked tonight. But where the hell is Cale Makar? Your second best player and the greatest defensemen in modern day hockey hasn't even come close to finding the back of the net. NO EXCUSE for that.

Drouin has been playing like he doesn’t have a future in Colorado. And maybe he doesn’t for not just one reason… that being Gabe is back and fully functional, but because he’s also falling apart in all aspects. I saw more improvement in his game throughout last season that anyone in the nhl. But you have to want it every night! I still believe that if Drouin plays like he’s wants to be here they’ll find a way. But you’ve gotta give them no choice.
Dallas is a good tram and good teams find a way to win, but man, I really don't think Dallas has any business being up 3-2 in this series. Game 5 was basically the only game Dallas led in and it's also the only game where they were clearly the better team. They've had 4 OK or worse games and are up 3-2. Just crazy. It's one of those things, I guess. In 2022 the Avs had to exorcise their round 2 demons en route to a cup. Maybe this is the year they need to exorcise their game 7 demons.
Glad to hear the Avs play well at home and not on the road… game 7 will be fun.

I wanna start by saying I like Bedsy. He’s a good coach and their losses haven’t been his fault. But also I don’t think he has, or has had, the emotion on the bench that a coach should.
Look at literally any other teams coach on the bench and the emotion they have. Granted, he may be a completely different behind closed doors but as a player you need that real time feedback on the ice – not after the period in the locker room. Get pissed over a bad play, get excited when your team scores, show some heart to the players feeling those emotions too and not just stay stone faced the whole game.
I don’t think I can count on one hand since he’s been coach the times where he’s been worked up or pumped. The team has a heart issue, not a skill issue. They’ve been checked out, minus a few games, the past 3 playoffs now. Every other team they’ve faced has simple wanted it more.
If the coach isn’t showing any heart on the ice then why should your team?

Colorado will still turn the series around, but it won't be enough to win the Stanley Cup. They need to properly build the team already in the summer and not make so many trades at the trade deadline. A team needs to grow together throughout the whole season. The coach will probably have to go after this season. Necas, Drouin, Val, Wood, Kiviranta, Johnson, Manson need to go. I want to see Sam Bennett, Gabriel Vilardi, Evan Bouchard, Jamie Benn in Coloroado next year.

"Hold close to your cross bar" makes absolutely no sense. You are a little too in love with yourself. Good luck with that emotional addiction. The velocity off that Harley shot would give most people an indication that the puck went somewhere else after hitting his blocker. NOT that the puck slowed to 2mph from 80mph and floated over his head to bounce off his back and score. That goal was bad luck. No goalie could have foresaw how that would unfold. You can't foresee everything.
