  1. I would rather buy the Hughes brothers than pay the gambling junkie Rick Tocchet. Tocchet threw so many games this year over gambling.

  2. No Stanley Cups in 55 years of operation so quit grasping for sport moments that don't really matter to us.

  3. The Mount Rushmore for me: Crosby's golden goal from Iginla at the 2010 Olympics, the "Greg Adams! Greg Adams!" call from Jim Robson in game 5 of the Conference Final win against the Leafs to send the Canucks to the finals, the "He will play, you know he will play, he will play on crutches" call from Jim Robson describing Trevor Linden as the Canucks forced game 7 in the Stanley Cup finals against the Rangers, and the heroic short program performed by Joannie Rochette right after her mother's passing at the 2010 Olympics.

  4. Not sure why the hockey media here thinks JR talking openly about what the team needs is a big deal. Every team's management knows what every other team needs without being told. who is it that we need to keep pretend secrets from. Why do we never win the prize? Well this year we traded a blood and guts top center you need to win in the playoffs and are now looking for one.

  5. My first full-time job was at Parkview Chevron, on Denman at Robson, on the Southwest corner of where Denman Arena once stood.

  6. I’m sure Tocchet talked with Hughes. And I think Hughes is gone after 2 years.
Vancouver fans just admit we need a rebuild and trading Hughes would really fast track that.

  7. The Canuckleheads should resign Suter & Boeser, and use their remaining cap space to sign the best UFA Center available. That would allow them to be competitive next season if EP40 comes back to form. If EP40 does not, then it's time for a complete rebuild starting with a trade of Hughes & Demko before the 2026 trade deadline amongst others. Then deal EP40 for whatever you can get before the Draft as he'll want to be gone before the rebuild gets going. Their future really hinges on EP40, so they should hold onto their small young talent pool until they know what direction they are going.

  8. Loyalty? What kind of herb has Drance been smoking? Loyalty between NHL ownership and any individual is a myth. Loyalty is a two way street, and the address will never be 800 Griffiths Way …

  9. Denman Arena was quite a gem, as ny dad told me he saw a few games there. It would have been even a better facility had it not been for the fact it was entirely constructed of wood, and burned to the ground years after it was built.

  10. I'm a canucks fan hands down but this ownership is the problem. I'll thinking about changing teams

  11. Isn’t Mt Rushmore a symbol of U.S. presidential popularity? Surely there’s a Canadian status symbol which could be utilised. Never 51.

  12. One potential affordable and low risk high reward option for the top 6 is Anthony Mantha. If healthy, I think he could pot 20 goals and 45-50 points. Also adds good size and speed

  13. Lets get the damn practice facility built already! This is embarrassing! Come on Aquaman lets get this done this decade!

  14. drance is completely clueless hes been a marketing expert for florida panthers when they were terrible. He has never been an agent gm or player hes basically an overzealous fan nothing more. Hes no expert and he just keep flapping knowing nothing

  15. Not sure why the Canucks aren't doing more to re-sign Boesser?! Proven goal score……isn't that who we want to keep?? Hey fellas, know that segments and timing is always an issue. Would love to see a longer time with Drance….how about two segments? Easy to fill I'm sure!
