  1. The issue with the comparison is that Tkachuk received a 5 min major and Scheen only received 2 min. It should have been called a major so they could at least review it.

  2. I'm sure St. Louis won't mind if the Jets return the favor and "accidently" plow Robert Thomas from behind. 🤣🤣

  3. It was a hard hit, but this series has had hard hits all series from both sides.

I didnt even put it in the top 10 so far when I first saw it

  4. alright its time for Trial by Fire. Recall Brad Lambert and let him write his name in the history books

  5. Ohh noes! The Jets are missing their top center for a game or two. How saaad. 😢

'Call me when your top center is out for the year and your entire top six defense core has been decimated by injuries so much that your blueline for a Playoff series looks like an AHL squad.

  6. Personally, I really dislike the precedent that a hit has to cause injury to be suspendable, and whether or not Schiefele is injured or not due to that play he’s missing a game – Schenn left his feet, and hit a guy who didn’t have possession of the puck when he wasn’t looking.

Whether or not Schiefele did enough to protect himself or not is irrelevant to a suspension IMO. Schenn still left his feet at speed and blew up a guy late.

To me that’s 1 game considering all the extracurricular that’ve been happening already. The replay clearly shows him exploding up off the ice to make high contact. If he stays on his feet and drives Schiefele into the boards it’s a non-issue.

Again, the decision has been made, and it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest but having the justification be “It didn’t directly cause the injury (supposedly) therefore this dirty unnecessary play is completely justified and unsuspendable” is the biggest load of garbage with the way NHL Player Safety treats this stuff.

If this was Lowry doing the same thing to Schenn I think Blues fans would feel the same no?

Aside from the tactics and playoff implications it’s simply not good enough.

  7. The best game Jets played in this Series- the worst Blues Played…

All the Pressure is on the Presidents Trophy Winners…..

    Blues playing on House Money……

  8. He doesn't know anything. We have a belief in the next man up. David Gustafsson plays a fine 200 foot game. True he doesn't put up the great offensive numbers like Mark, but he was a respectable +12 for his 36 game season and he has no quit in his game. The jets are fine without Scheifele. He and Ehlers will be back as soon as they are back and not 1 game sooner.

  9. The spotters let Scheifele down – Schenn jumped into his head, fists up (there's stills out there. go find them), and you can see he was clearly off for the rest of the period. That Faska hit – 55 just…skated into him. it wasn't that hit that injured him … well, maybe it injured him MORE.

  10. I have never fogiven him for his vicious hit on Montreal's Jake Evans which resulted in a serious injury during the 2021 playoffs after Evans scored an empty-net goal. Montreal swept Winnipeg in four games in that series and I am sure Scheifele attacked him unjustifiablely and unexpectedly because of the anger and frustration he felt at being swept. The sports media made all sorts of excuses for him saying he was a good person and religious. That attack was nothing but a petulant attack without any purpose other than pure uncontrolled rage. It has taken four years, but perhaps he is experiencing a tiny bit of justice.

  11. So wait…Scotty said that Monty was way off with his assertion that Scheif was injured by Faksa. So that means he was injured on the Schenn hit and continued to play with a concussion? How does that happen? Did the medical staff misdiagnose? Did they know and not care? Seems like some systems failed here.
