New rule should be. If you make a dirty hit and that player misses whatever many games that player should be suspended the same amount of time with no pay. Then these dirty hits will stop. Beneath should be suspended this is not the first time. Bennett is a dirty as they come.
How did none of the players get a good look on the hit….are they told to say that?

Florida are such a dirty team and until the refs stop them they are going to continue to try and injure players! Its ridiculous! Especially when you look at the first 2 penalties of the game (1 for each team) that were almost non existent calls then Bennet out head hunting, Tkachuk is a dirt bag and took a swipe at Marner, really despise that team!
But the Leafs played extremely well- tough to beat when all 4 lines are going!

Asking morgan about the bennett elbow is a useless question.
These players, especially the vets, are trains in how to talk to the media, which means they won't say anything that could influence the league negatively.

Maybe Leafs should be at Stolarz side in hospital instead of on the ice on Wednesday. Bennett must be stopped. He is a killer.
They need a head contact spotter in the league just as they have a concussion spotter.
Head contact is missed too much (first Tavares now Stolarz). When the refs miss a crosscheck to the head, the horn needs to sound and a major penalty given to the offender.
Refs then review to confirm the major or drop it down to a minor or no penalty at their discretion.

Sam Bennett is a filthy player and he should be suspended for the entire playoffs. It wasn’t enough that he knocked out Matthew Knies with a concussion hit and punch two years ago, and he’s done it repeatedly to other players on other teams. It is a disgrace that his name is on the Stanley Cup. I doubt the league is going to do anything to their poster boy from Florida, so maybe Reavo needs to be called up to deliver some “supplementary discipline” of the old school kind.

5-4 is a sloppy win score in Game One…Sloppy hockey ruled the game…Leafs were less sloppy by one over FLA. Don’t expect to win a series with sloppy Hockey. Sloppy Hockey loses sloppy Hockey games…Sloppy Hockey is sloppy hockey played by sloppy Hockey players. The key to this series is sloppiness. The less sloppy team will win…
