  1. Ludicrous, the most complete game they played this playoffs was game 5 vs. LA.. well maybe not ludicrous that 2nd period was pretty tight

  2. All of last years playoff run and now this years run, all the media talks about after an Oilers series win is how their next opponent is too good, too deep, better goaltending, etc The Oilers continue to prove everyone wrong and still don't get the respect.

  3. Hey I'm an Oilers fan too…but I don't understand the leafs hatred. I get hating rival teams or Montreal because they're French snobs…and Vancouver because Canucks fans are the most hateful people in the world.
    But Toronto?Why?What they do?

  4. It should be illegal to talk about Hyman and Brown like the Leafs had anything to do with their success as Oilers. That said, enjoy Stolarz and Leafs in 5 vs FLA 🍁

  5. To be fair, Vegas is missing a couple of important players. I’d expect Pietrangelo back in for game two. That will solidify Vegas defence. Still picking Oilers in 6.

  6. I don’t agree with out Vegasing Vegas, the Oilers can press and tilt the ice unlike any other team in the league.

You can’t stop them, barring some degree of luck involved.

Defensively some holes in terms of personnel but they buy in enough to the system and details to work well as a group.

    Another cup run incoming.

If it’s not McDrai putting other teams on the back foot most times when one of them are on the ice, they have speed in the bottom 6 to keep a relentless pace on their opponents.

  8. The great Joe Frazier always lost the first couple rounds. After a couple smacks, after he figured out the rhythm, he would come forth like the wretched beasts of hell.

That's what the Oilers remind me of.

  9. Settle down. Pickard has a 0.891SAV% with the best oilers defence we have seen all year.

One bad night and we may never see Pickard again.

Skinner went 5-1 in elimination games last year with a 0.935SAV%. Clutch

  10. Two 5 on 5 shots the final 40 minutes for Vegas, the oilers shut them out, 7 total the final 40, only 1 in the 2nd, after the first, Edmonton just took over

  11. Who cares if there is two ex-Leafs on the Oilers? Corey Perry played for Anaheim, why didn’t you mention this? Podkolzin played for Vancouver and no mention there neither. TSN really can’t help themselves, they just gotta throw Toronto into everything.
And what does “Oilers put-Vegased Vegas” even mean? The Oilers have been playing an offensive-minded puck procession game for years, perhaps decades. They just tightened up their defence more and have reliable goaltending.

  12. Vegas was up 3-0 against San Jose in game 7 a couple of years ago (2019 I think) and lost 5-4. So no, they were not 26-0 when leading by multiple goals in the post season

  13. The key to the Oilers success will be Bouchard. If he plays smart and aggressive then the team will believe and play with speed and confidence. As to the Pickard mystique, the man is so loved and respected in the dressing room. As long as he plays near .900 hockey the players will go to war with him. The problem with Skinner is that he couldn’t seem to get over the bad/soft goal.

  14. If we’re going to mention former Leafs on the Oilers, then how about Brown being a former Sen? Any former Habs, Jets, Flames, or Canucks to mention while we’re at it? 🙄

  15. I’m telling you the Oilers play better under pressure. I don’t get it I don’t understand it but they need to go down in the game to win. It’s bizarre it’s Oilers hockey but it works for them.

  16. Edmonton is like Secretariat….the come from behind king! It was an awesome game! I would like to not always feel so stressed watching!,

  17. Clavin covers the puck most time whereas skinner redirects it and usually ends up being bad for him

  18. Skinner let in 11 Gold in two games and the go-ahead winning goal mere seconds after the Oilers tied the game he choked I don't want him in that because I don't trust him as a fan when you need to score a minimum of four goals in order to win a hockey game there's a problem. And having to score 6 and 7 in order to win that's not going to happen too often the right goalie is in net.
