  1. I would suggest giving the Islanders their 2026 second round pick back with the third overall to move up to number one

  2. If Misa is there ya take em but if not Hagens you’ll regret not taking him I truly believe that.

  3. Misa might play in the NHL right out of the draft, anyone else I would think are going to college for a year. The only way he drops to #3 is if the Islanders take the hometown guy #1.

  4. Why not trade for the #2 pick and keep #3? Give up one of the young Dmen and include the other 1st round pick

  5. Trade the pick for a superstar player that’s already proven. They already have a bunch of young talent on their roster and in the minors.

  6. Chicago already has such a deep prospect pool and you can only have 50 contracts (excluding CHL players). I would try pretty hard to get up to 1st Overall.

A package built around 3rd Overall, 34th Overall, NYI's '26 2nd, and Allan might be enticing to the Isles who have a relatively weak pool. The Isles get a plethora of assets to move down 2 spots to select their hometown kid.

  7. I say keep the 3 overall. Historically the 3 pick is usually a quality nhl player. Just take whoever is tops on your board and try to sign for team needs.

  8. At this point Were good in nets, on defense, lots of depth at F, with Moore, Greene, Dach, Boisvert, Hayes, Spellacy, Pridham etc I feel like the clear boxes to check now as an organization are a top line prospect like Misa and one or two trades or free agents for this year better Teravainen and Bertuzzi.

Also I feel like if we somehow trade up too number 1, the Sharks need to somehow pay something aswell for the Hawks helping them get Schaefer which is the guy they want. It should be a 3 way deal

  9. If he makes it to three, which I doubt, they will take him. With their already deep farm system, I'd attempt to move up to #1 if I were them.

  10. It depends what the islanders do, although I think it’s pretty obvious they’ll take Schaefer. Not every home town kid needs to play for their hometown team lol. Schaefer is just sooo much better of a prospect at 1 than Hagens…
That being said, if I were Kyle I would see how set on picking at #2 SJ is. From what I remember, they were open for business with their 1st round pick. We so badly need Misa, I would give up a pretty decent package to move from 3 to 2 to select Misa. There’s rumors of Martone playing well with Celebweenie…
I’m probably just gonna be let down when 1 and 2 are chalk but I’m not giving up on my Misa dream just yet. Crazier things have happened

  11. I highly doubt he will be available at #3, do whatever it takes to trade up to #1 to guarantee Misa, Hawks have too many bottom 6 forwards in the system already. The main priority is to get Bedard a running mate and they should do whatever is necessary to that., they have all the assets to get it done. The hope is to not draft this high again so go get a guy that can play with Bedard and put the puck in the net. If they stay at #3 I think Martone would fit perfectly with Bedard, they haven’t had a big power forward since big Buff or Bickel
