Isles fan and most of us want Misa
Islanders should trade down and take hagens. He’s a fan of the team and is from there….the other players will look to leave the first chance

Isles should only take Misa if they truly believe he's better than schaefer. If they take hagens instead without trading down solely because he's the home town kid, then they deserve all the future pain they've invited, because that's not how winners are made
Michel Misa will be a superstar . Do no not take a defenseman at #1. Take the offensive Powerhouse.. Misa scores goals and sets up others. That's what Islanders need.

I would love the Islanders to pick Schaefer than see if u can make a trade with SJ or Chicago for their 1st rd pick .Send Dobson and picks if possible. Than draft Misa or Hagens . One can dream

misa fills the big need isles have had since pj left. And can score on pp along with his knack for scoring goals and do things with 13's passes.
I think that the Flyers are going to trade up! 6th pick and 2nd rounder and maybe 4th or 5th round for the Islanders pick! They select Misa!

If Misa is the target 🎯 for the Islanders you trade down with SJ and pick up their 28th overall and they take either DuClair title Engvall’s Contract. Believe me the Sharks most likely covenant Schaffer LHD. Win Win! But if Islanders love Schaffer, Schaffer it is!
Schaffers impact is two fold. He is going to help on the Defensive side and Produce on the offensive side. Eventually you’re looking at a very young and good D Core.

Isles take Schaefer first overall, trade Dobson to Utah for 4th overall pick (Isles add sweetener if needed) then draft Hagens with that pick. Ain’t happening, but I’d be happy with it if it did.
Chicago should offer up both firsts and a second for 1. Chicago gets the perfect 2nd line center behind bedard and islanders get more capital for the future and a guy who wants to be there

Take Schaefer. Hes a franchise altering LHD to pair with Dobson, a RHD, solidifying one of the best D pairings in the league within the next couple of years. Schaefer can do it all, he plays the powerplay, he kills penalties, and contributes both offensively and defensively. Drafting Potvin 1st overall launched a dynasty and you hope you get a perennial norris trophy contender here as the backbone of this franchise. Plus hes the most NHL ready player in this draft by all reports
It’s Schaffer end of story! I don’t know if they try to circle back at 4 or 5 for Hagens. Personally I don’t see why or how they would be able to do that. Relax and go into next draft with the two first rounders.
