Matthews was 485 behind ovie after his 69 goal season. After this last one ovie bounced back while 34 regress to being 496 behind ovie.,Almost 500 goals behind ovie and ovie still active. 34 some day passing him seemed possible after last year. A long shot, but possible. Now, I don’t see it. Especially not if ovie decides to try for 1000 and more cups.

As much as Canadians wish that the Maple Leafs do more in the playoffs this year, it's not believed that their goaltender Woll has the required talent to lead the team. Woll has to show the poise and confidence needed to win. Equally important the coaching staff must stress a much better effort from the rest of the team. back check shoot more and help out the defense and protect their goalie. Also the refereeing must do a better job. Considering these elements the Leafs still have to deal with a very good team in the Panthers.
