«  Le temps est venu à secouer les noyaus de Leafs d’une manière significative  »: Lebrun sur le noyau quatre

Comment le match 7 s’est-il éloigné de Toronto? Est-ce la fin du mandat de Mitch Marner avec les Maple Leafs? Qu’est-ce qui fait de Brad Marchand un tueur aussi mortel? Le journaliste des Maple Leafs Mark Masters et l’initié de hockey TSN Pierre Lebrun rejoignent SC avec Jay Onrait pour discuter.

  1. Woll let in some major softies for a Game 7, which also deflates the team big time. Kills all momentum. He was not locked in when he needed to be.

  2. A weak overrated captain, and no other real leaders to be found, the leafs are entertaining and a good night out for the regular season games. When it comes to playoff hockey, when it matters – you play for your pride and to fulfill your dream of being a champion in your sport, this leaf team is not tough enough to win in the playoffs. Simple as that.

  3. The Leafs just stink and have for a long time. So I say this (again) with respect and concern. Do NOT blame these existing players or coach. I am sure that many of them will have long and storied careers – with some other teams. I am sure that they and the coach and the management are trying their best. IT'S THE FRANCHISE! It is lost and probably still possessed by the ghost of Harold Ballard. IT CAN NEVER WIN NO MATTER WHAT!! The ONLY solution is to either A) Move the franchise out of Ontario or 2) Dissolve it completely. And I'm not sure that moving it will remove the stink or the ghosts. ( :?C )

  4. Oh, somehow it’s the fans fault? How about the entire Leaf fan base dumps this disgraceful team, just don’t turn up, don’t tune in at all? Start following an out-of-market team. Who’s gonna pay these huge salaries then? Fucking fans fault, it’s been 58 years of torture for many of us Leaf fans, and then this last decade of overpaying for no-balls playoff repeats… fucking preach to us.

  5. Why is there a question mark in "Time to change it up". The ONLY reason to run it back is for the ownership, because they keep raking money from tickets, they don't seem to care about the cup at all. But for the fans? This core should've been shaken up ages ago, and whoever thought to give Matthews "There's a lot of passengers eventhough I'm a passenger too" the captaincy needs to get fired. Marner blocking the Rantanen trade seems kinda silly now doesn't it? He did his final disney on ice only to get yeeted now.

  6. ive been a leafs fan for 50+ years…they sickened me again just as i predicted they would…..theyve had "core " changes every two years!!!!! just put them down.

  7. Sick of Matthews, Marner, Nylander and Tavares being called "Great Players"….. Great players don't play like that in important games like this.

  8. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 The Leafs are just not good. Great parts, bad cohesion. Toronto has great fans for sure but even their loyalty isn't enough to bring them the ultimate success that eludes them every year.

  9. while this was the furthest the leafs have made it during the core four era, they also completely no-showed 3 games this series lol

  10. This was a legacy game (and really series) for Matthews and Marner. They will forever be seen as choke artists their entire career and lives. They shrink when the moment grows. If you follow pro sports, they are basically Chris Webber when he called timeout for Michigan. They will never overcome this performance.

  11. As a Cowboys fan, I can only relate to this too well. The never-ending conversation of personnel changes and ridiculous contracts. When the real problem is the culture. Until these teams stop profiting off of nostalgia and limitless loyalty, the results will not change anytime soon. This is why I haven't been to a Cowboys game or bought merch in many years. It's not because I have become loyal to another team, it's because I think it's the only thing that will prompt any change at all. Sure, I'm only a tiny drop in the bucket, but I'm hoping one day enough will be enough for enough people. It's doubly bad for the Cowboys because the whole franchise is hostage to a single family. Until another Landry or Johnson type culture usurps this entitled BS, we will keep up this annual tradition of chokedom. Make a financial statement to your Leafs for this constant underachievement.

  12. Too many passengers?? They were all passengers. The training staff worked harder then they did.

  13. Every year you guys say the same thing. Change is needed but then you will turn around and try to "sell" it to the fans. Toronto media disrespects the city and people of Toronto bc your boss owns the teams and they have different aspirations and its not winning the cup. I would say for sure no doubt in my mind there is also a gambling scandal going on. Games were predetermined .

  14. Let's not lose sight of the fact that the Leaf's pushed Ottawa to SIX games! DUDE! They they were up 2 games to 0 and a goal away from 3-0. And they lost the series. There is nothing to lose sight of!

  15. After the losses of past seasons with this group, how could they have not been the hungrier team? You'd think they'd take to the ice like Bobby Clarke and END Florida and their critics with the biggest and most definitive and defining win of their careers? There should have been 'blood' on the ice at the end of the game, not beer.

  16. Hey, the leafs are consistant for 5 years. Wool played a fantastic series. Marchand praises the leafs about how hard it's to play in Toronto so he come back next year and do it again.
