We’ll’ When you have four over paid centres playing the role of a line and half the cap is taken up by one injured veteran and three unproven over paid players who are traded to teams making cup runs like Kessel to pens cup. Bozak to blues cup. Kadri to Av’s cup. And the injured over paid veterans getting traded to Toronto for therapy the odds of winning a post season game becomes next to never. Teams have balanced lines with heathy players. Toronto has a therapy centre and a daycare. It’s a joke. I gave up on the Leafs when Boston took them out for a second time. Extremely pleased I made the logical decision to avoid 10 years of depressing post seasons. Regular season is boring. Hockeys watered down. Even if the Leafs win the cup it really doesn’t mean much anymore. It’s not the same league. Half the players are unrecognizable to the fans from other countries, I don’t feel a connection to the nhl anymore. How can you build a rivalry when all the players move around. Its boring! 3 hour snot fest.

Since Covid the Canucks have made the playoffs twice, we have as many playoff series wins in that time as the Leafs since the lockout of 2005.

The Leafs haven’t won a cup in my lifetime and I may be gone from old age before they win another one. I’ve never been a Leafs fan but their constant decades long choking in the playoffs gives me an appreciation for what RedSox fans went through.
