It's true – outside of Aho, Jarvis & Slavin, that line up is filled with role players. They really squeezed everything they could out of that roster
Gentzel, Rantenen, short term. Rantenen very short. DeAngelo and Kuznetsov left the NHL! This is a misleading premise.
What they are failing to mention is that with all those guys they named, Carolina was bounced before the ECF last year minus Rants. Also what about Dallas being named immediately cup favorites when they acquired Rants and won one game in the WCF.
