Just for context I'm Canadian and a Red Wings fan. So I also follow the Leafs closely as watching them lose every year in the playoffs is the one thing that gives me joy. I was happy Derek Lalonde got fired last season as the team completely quit on him and he was awful talking to the media in my opinion. He's extremely uninspiring to listen to and is full of excuses. Red Wings had a great powerplay but the worst penalty kill like you guys said. He preached a very defensive system with zero physicality on the forecheck. If he's there just to help the powerplay I think it could be a good hire. Although I think the Red Wings powerplay was good because of Patrick Kane and Alex Debrincat, plus the powerplay coach was Alex Tanguay. Honestly I don't even like looking at doctor evil. Ya last season was a tough one for me and all Wings fans
