I think Rakell's value has never been higher than it was at this years deadline.

I had heart ache when we traded Jake but I got over it. I don’t wanna lose Raks but I would probably get over it in the same way. Rusty on the other hand will kill me. That’s my guy. That’s the guy who should be wearing the C after Sid retires, even if only for a few years until he retires. Rust = A Pen for Life

Good morning DK, IF I had to trade one of the two mentioned, it would have to be Rakell. The reason, Rust is A Penguin, and as such for the young guys to "learn Penguin hockey" they'll need to learn it from guys like Crosby, Rust, Letang, and Geno (for at least next year) plus with more years locked up on Rakell at only 5$ mill then Rust that just might mean the difference for a cap strapped team who's needing that term.
