Couldn’t agree more. Very soft cross checking penalties compared to the entire playoffs. Guys have been laying the lumber far worse for the entire playoffs and getting away with it.

That said. The refs are being awful, just awful. From one extreme to the other, game after game. Funny enough, the Panthers have been the ones getting the benefit of it 3 games in a row. They get away with it and the Oilers get called for doing the same. The NHL is making tons of money out of McDavid and Draisaitl yet they seem to just watch while the Panthers are getting away with murder.
The media doesnt have your back coach. Instead of talking about the missed high sticks on mcdavid, which would have been consistent with your comments, all ryan rishaug and friends could talk about is Kane being undisciplined. Nothing at all about consistency or the 2 many men penalty.
So what. Let's move on!
Coach Knoblauch, thank you for guiding the team this far — it’s been an incredible run. Just wanted to share a thought as a fan: after the tough losses in Games 2 and 3, it might be time to give Pickard the net. He showed poise and stability earlier in the playoffs and could give the group a fresh spark.
Also, just putting it out there — any chance the team can look into bringing in Troy Stecher and Jeff Skinner? Both could add great depth and experience. All the best for the rest of the series!
The refs were unfair
After game 1 all media and everyone on youtube was hyping edmonton, after the first really bad game for weeks everone blaming on oilers as it was the end of the world. That is crazy. They are 13-4 the last 17 games after loosing now 2 in a row (1 in double ot). They showed their come back qualities all season long. Lets see what happens. better to get completly lost in 1 game than play good but loose 3.
Let Pickard do the job. Oilers fighting 8 men in the ice. How can you win with that?
