Getting that first selection was so critical in advancing this franchise.
This franchise runs purely off of nostalgia at this point
For a bit when I was a kid he lived a few houses down from us, he'd co.e out and play hockey with us back in the early 80s. His son had every toy you every wanted lol. awesome memories
Man.. I miss RJ.
Rob Ray said one time, "Imagine what Perreault's skating would have been like if he had todays skates"
My dad took me to a signing so that I can meet Gilbert Perreault, I finally got to meet the last member of the French Connection line in person, I was so happy that I met him, thanks dad. 😁
what a dumpster fire franchise
B4 my time was ,is he the best Sabres ever?
THE BEST
My 1978 Sabres Jersey with his name and number will be buried with me so I can play street hockey in the clouds. Thank you Gil.
My fav player still to this day.
ahhh…he was the Sabres, amazing….early Sabres….I thought he could have played longer….even after he retired.
Since I was a tiny wee bit toddler, sitting on my Grandpa's knee…allowing me to stay up past bed time ..watching the Sabres game on on our black & white tv…and when the Sabres won..the cars driving through our East Side (Broadway Market) neighborhood announcing a WIN with car horns tooting….have I since come to realize & share….when I cry, I cry yellow. When I bleed, I bleed blue. And my soul, spirit, psyche and demeanor is white! Let's go Buffalo Sabres!!!!!
Someone in the NHL once described him as the most dangerous player on a 1 on four breakaway. He played the game he loved in a way that made you love it too. He made everyone around better. Superstar.
First and only Buffalo Sabres player to wear the #11.
Gilbert Perreault…the greatest Sabre to ever play the game.
A beloved Western New York treasure.
Dominik Hasek is a close #2.
Josh Allen is rapidly ascending that mountain as well.
