Blackhawks continue to get younger and Kyle D gathers another draft pick for future trading. Four Nations raised the profile of the NHL. Maybe Swift will buy a couple of teams. I thought Tate McRae might wind up dating Bedard and put a fire in his belly.
Knoblauch running tight ship, impressive handling of his team players. And he even gets a lot from guys who aren't that good. Imagine if couple strong additions to Oilers and deeper team, making coaching job little bit easier. Could be interesting to see.

Whenever Tate McRae comes home to Calgary and is in the stands, she is prominently on the Sportsnet show as she is an avid Flames fan and wears a jersey. So yeah, promote the heck out of it. I saw Taylor Swift doing selfies in the stands on Social Media today. It's not bad press so it cannot hurt the NHL in any way.

To think Arizona traded up to get Soderstrom back in 2019. They traded a first and second round pick to get him. Which the Flyers turned into Cam York and via trade Bobby Brink (they used the 45th pick they got in the trade along with a third round pick (#65 overall) to get the #34 overall pick to get Brink).

I think my problem with showing celebrities at the games, kind of in line with what you were saying, but it's when they're shown. This may seem like a small or insignificant nitpick, but I hated how a goal would be scored in the game last night, and instead of showing fans yelling and cheering, it cut to Travis looking at his phone and Taylor looking at him, no reaction to what's happening on the ice or in the game.
There's just something fun and cool about showing fan reactions to goals on TV, especially during the playoffs. More feeling for the excitement in the moment at the arena, cool experience for the fan who gets to be on TV. Cutting to two people who obviously don't care what's going on and give no reaction just kind of deflates the whole thing a little bit, for myself anyways.
Soderstrom can be a pretty decent D man, he was just the odd man out in the Hawks loaded D core prospect pool..

Know that the shl is a defensive league. Point per game players are rare, it's maybe 5 guys that manage that at all in the whole league. So söderströms points is really good. He was one of the most talked about defenders this past season.
B-Ball floor-side celebrities often give good sound bites during games when stuff is always going on, with short, sub 8 minute breaks. Why not?
Celebrities should be seldom seen and not heard from when the broadcast is going on.The amount of time and effort that broadcasters put into showing celebs in the stands takes away from the actual game.
Could not care less about Taylor Swift being there. If she and Kelce choose to go to another game, I'd hope they are on screen 0% of the time, makes for a better broadcast.
