Trading the 7th pick would be weird. Especially for Pageau. I could see us trade down a few spots if we get a good player. Anaheim is at 10 for example. But not trade the pick without any 1st round pick in return.

Mindnumbingly stupid. Sometimes I think Don Sweeney leaks his galaxy brained ideas to Jimmy Murphy so he can gauge public opinion and see whether or not people will riot. Absolute moronic idea trading our top future asset to either take on 15 million between JGP and Dobson OR acquire a defenseman and a 5M dollar third liner without addressing our biggest need. Either use the pick to draft someone who projects to be a top six forward, package it for proven top line scorer, or move up in the draft. NO “WIN NOW” MOVES to try and save your job and appease your handlers Don. This team isn’t close to winning anything. Try developing a player for once in your life! 😡
