It was nice last year when the Cup win was legit. Unfortunately, this one is tainted with the asterisk of abusing the LTIR rule enabling them to carry more salary than every other team a la the 21 Lightning (Kuch), the 23 Knights (Stone), and now the 25 Panthers (Tkachuk). Simple loophole to close up, make the playing field level and immune to gamesmanship. Typical NHL NHLing.

I was at the game tonight. I was also at Game 7 last year. This year’s team was a lot better than the one that won the Cup last year. Hard to believe that Bill Zito could reload and improve on what he had last year. This may be the best team in the last 25 years. The Panthers are Stanley Cup Champions again. But 31 other NHL teams have 713 players on 23 man rosters each that are severely talented. Those 713 players didnt hitch a ride to the NHL and get there by chance. Professionals.
