It is not rocket science why have not won in either of the last 2 years…your Goalies are not good enough! In comparison to 99% of all humans they are excellent, but when comparing them to a Stanley Cup quality winning Goaltenders, they are terrible, and way below what you need to become Stanley Cup Champions. It doesn’t matter at what level you are playing…Minor Hockey to Beer League…with a poor Goalie you will never win a Championship.

If the Oil mgmt don’t recognize that it is 4lines, not top 2 bottom 2 – signing Nurse to his pathetic contract leaves them little roo m to deal him – Bouchard has the shot(hardly takes it always passing off to McD or drysaityl) but Bouch showed his defensive weakness in the last 3 games, plus look at nbr 1 goalie, probably European – Skin can be backup or fight with Pritch on that position – when u have large % of salaries in top 6 players the deals will be minimal & they will still get the bottom 4 that wasn’t consistent – 2 of those could stay u guess – but the opportunities are shallow for next year

It's time for McDavid to leave. Sorry Oiler faithful but I have been an NHL fan since 2012 (before that I was a baseball fan, that was until baseball became completely corporate) and an Oiler fan since 2015 thanks to McDavid, but I can't think of any team (other than Buffalo) that has done worse when handed so much. They continuously make bad financial decisions, bad hockey iq decisions, and the complete failure to learn from previous mistakes. I have had doubts that this team will win for years now and that shouldn't be the case when they have 2 of the top 5 players in the NHL. They had Draisaitl for $8.5 million and McD for $12.5 million. This means they had like around 60 million more to fill out the roster (as cap was around 80 million for ever) and yet they still couldn't do it? That's just gross incompetence!
