    Hockey is now in the toilet because the non-taxed teams have an advantage of signing great players for less than heavy taxed teams. Four of the last 5 Stanley cup teams come from no income tax States.

    IMO what the NHL should do is recreate/restructure the salary cap NUMBERS/maximums … The cap should be the "NET SALARY FOR ALL TEAMS TO BE THE SAME" ….. Florida , Nevada will have the exact same cap as Ottawa or LA or Montreal or New York etc … etc. …. It will create more work for accountants and software people to iron out the math of salaries maximums / minimums on a daily basis ….
