Nurse's play in the last 4 cup runs is predominantly the reason for the Oilers failure due to inability to balance the defence and get a good goalie. I wish Nurse would just up and leave and I hope McDavid is done with choosing his friends and wanting the cup

Crazy how Oiler fans treat Bouchard. He is top 10 D in the world at worst. We are so lucky to have him and we are no where close to the Finals without him. The first two goals in Game 6 started with brutal, rookie-level turnovers from Evan Bouchard — and zero presence in the D-zone. On the second goal, he literally stood next to Lundell as he set the screen on Skinner. Didn’t lift a stick, didn’t clear the lane — just watched. That’s not defense. With plays like that, Bouchard might as well have been Florida’s seventh skater all night. The Oilers were basically killing a 5-on-7 for most of Game 6.

All jokes aside, Bouch is an elite d-man, and will get paid as such. Will be an integral part of this core going forward.

True and sincere advice for all Oilers Fans to cope with this loss:
1. Practice your "what if" scenarios. What if the puck bounced differently? What if the ref saw it? These hypothetical victories are just as valid as real ones.
2. Perfect the art of finding "positives" in every setback. A 5-1 Game 6 SCF loss is just a valuable learning experience for what promises to be a very strong "next year."
3. Be exceedingly "proud" of effort. Winning and reality are overrated when you can claim boundless "effort," regardless of the final score or trophy count.
4. Revisit the 1980s frequently. Living in past glories is a healthy, productive way to escape the harsh realities of the present. Highly recommended.
