  1. There is, in response to the title of the video, a chance, but there’s under a week left for the Canucks to make such a move.

  2. Please please move this guy.
Any 26 year old that signs a big deal and then doesnt train in the off season is poison.

  3. I don't think that to many teams are willing to offer too much for Petey given the size of the contract. Maybe a team that is under the cap min, but then what are you getting back in return? The Canucks do need 2 top 6 forwards, and as much as I love seeing Silovs in our uni, his days have to be numbered. He's too valuable an asset not to trade. If the plan is Lankinen and Demko, then Silovs is an asset that they Can afford to trade. And probably should. Tolopilo has been good, and it will be his chance to step up and earn the #1 spot in Abbottsford.
Still, Given that Vancouver is in a 'need' position, it's going to be tough for them to climb in the standings (and ticket sales) unless they make a relatively big splash in the trade & free agent markets.

  4. Considering what is out there… the Canucks should take a flyer on E Kane. He brings some well needed size and grit. Hopefully our D and penalty kill can cover his lapses

  5. Moving along from Pettersson for the Canucks, Bouchard and Nurse for the Oilers. Get some consistency instead.

  6. Only Canucks fans are stupid enough to want to trade their talent away. One just won a cup with the Panthers. Panthers are so grateful you all never seen anything in Gustav Forsling 2× cup champion. Or how about paying OEL to win a Stanley Cup last year and helping the Leafs make the playoffs this year. Only Canucks fans are happy watching their stars win cups with other teams.

  7. D is not that good, Hughes wants out, goaltending is overpaid (lankinen) and Demko is broken. Don't give me any hope from Abbotsford either when their best players are pushing 30. This team is in rough shape.

  8. Only a complete moron would NOT trade him. “He’ll bounce back”. Yeah, sure. Been hearing that for OVER a year now.

People were like “He’ll get back at 4 Nations”. Look at his stats, hmmm not surprising. Even Sweden bumped him from 1st C to the 3rd line C.

That’s the worst contract in the NHL, and it’s not even close. In what world is he worth 11.6 million dollars?

  9. Pretty sure Petterson is injured. Most players like Auston Mathews who are injured won't disclose it. Don't think he will have a turnaround. It would've happened already.

  10. Fine with me. Guy's, a dud, anyway. More importantly, he appears to be a dressing room cancer.

  11. No question we moved out the wrong center. However now we have no choice but to keep EP40 as we are already down a top six center. We will have to trade a goaltender and a top four Dman to get some scoring up front and then hope for the best. But if EP40 does not return to form this year, the Canucks will have to tear it down and rebuild or just be shitty for another decade or two. Probably the later with this ownership.

  12. Where are you going to find a return that has even the slightest possibility of having Pettersons ceiling as a center?? Get real. Don’t give up on players, work with them. Look at Florida for many, many examples (Gustaf Forsling for one)

  13. This signing will go down as one of the worst signings ever. In the same column of the disastrous Rick DiPietro signing by the Islanders back in the day. Pettersson is completely unmovable. The only hope for the Canucks is to put him on waivers in which case he will clear and they can drop him down to the minors and free up his contact salary although they still have to pay him, it won't be a cap hit.

He cost us our best player and an MVP coach. He's done. Good riddance.
