My thoughts? I stopped thinking about this trade jockeying; Rags will do what they'll do and they NEVER ask my opinion. They trade away reliable veterans for uncertain prospects with questionable talent, half of whom they never develop.

It may be more of a gamble for NYR, but considering the draft and cap increase, Pens have back to back 1st mid picks, who to say the an offer sheet is now on the agenda. To get to offer a offer-sheet to a quality nhl star now and Crosby still there, would be added attraction to play alongside. Then moving a Karlsson or Malkin, you wouldn't need to squeeze too much out of the trade, something like a solid depth piece lacking and quality draft pick

As a lifelong Flyers fan, I am def not a fan of The Penguins. However I would like to see them let Crosby go and start a rebuild in earnest. I used to loathe Crosby earlier in his career, but to be honest he has earned my respect. I
He’ll always be a Penguin but I’d like to see him either play with his buddy McKinnon (they play so well together) or somewhere like Montreal. Sid is still one of the best players out there and could bring a ton of leadership and experience to a team that’s close to a cup. Could you imagine Colorado with possibly two of the best captains in recent memory
