It was JT's teammates, not only his age, that made him lose his market value. NOT Tavares' fault that his teammates don't set him up especially on the PP. On the PP, he barely would see the puck and this has happened for years. And it's a near miracle that he was able to get his level of protection considering 3 other players are getting the puck and holding onto it too much. JT is still as close to elite as one can get being at 35. A good team will want him and appreciate him more than the Leafs do..If he ends up in Detroit or any other bubble team…he will become their top player and continue to play at his level
Thoughts on the Canucks trading :chytil, demko, 25 1st (15th), 25 2nd (47th) and maybe a 2026 1st or second for either Byram/peterka or norris/peterka or is that a little too unrealistic
The sabres are so greedy they have all these prospects who they won’t play but they won’t trade them either
What a huge mistake if they give Laine an extension even at a big discount. This guy cannot muster up playing a season without injury. 10 Years in the NHL and only 2 season he played a full season. I hope the HABS do not extend this guy. However, Toronto and JT are far apart in salary, I think Montreal needs to offer JT a 3 year 6-7M per year contract. This give Hage time to develop and he would be a great 2C for Demidov and Laine next season. JT at age 34 still put up great numbers 38g 26a and 74pts and he is a big body and faceoffs are good.

Detroit does not really need a flashy right hand defenseman we need a top six score like JJ Peterka and a goalie like Dempko we have the assets to get that goalie as well as JJ our GM needs to be aggressive, we have pics as well as prospects to improve this team big time. I will be very disappointed if we do not be aggressive and get some big names in free agency and trades.

Great Video, as usual, Mike. I think that Jeremy Swayman to My Chicago Blackhawks would be A Great Deal, especially the fact that they have all of The Salary Cap room to take his contract. Let me know what you think
