Ellis, Risto, come off the cap the same time that Michkov and Foerester are up.
Have to disagree with you about defense. Sanheim is the only player who should be assured a spot; anyone else could, and should, be moved to the side if it comes to an opportunity to sign a top-pairing defenseman. 1C is also a huge need. I like Couts a lot, but he's 32 and will be 33 in December.
Provorov was a good pick but he wasn't developed well to go along with the bad environment around him. York has a better environment but he's been pigeon holed and forced to play above his level so far. They need to develop his offensive game or trade him if Drysdale has higher offensive upside.
Drysdale is small, weak defensively,doesn’t have a good point shot and does not create enough offense to offset his weaknesses. All he can do is carry the puck, let’s see if he can last a full season without taking a bunch of big hits. Dysdale is basically Ghost without the shot and without the PP ability. York is a typical Flyer dman, nondescript ,plain vanilla. He isn’t good on the PP, he doesn’t have a good shot, isn’t big, he doesn’t have one standout skill, he’s just average in everything . I predict both him and Drysdale are both gone within a couple of years. Bonk and Andrae make them both expendable.
They should draft Joshua Ravensbergen with their second first round pick. Between him, Zavragin, and Bjarnsson, we at least have a legitimate crop of potential. Sign Alex Lyons to a 2 year deal to help Ersson weather the storm until we can (hopefully) train up one of these three goalies.
I totally agree with Rachel about the wait. It goes too long into June. It needs to start while we have momentum.

The Flyers need to choose one of York or Drysdale and trade the other. There is no room in today's NHL for two small D in a team's top four. I would move York while teams might still think he's legit. There is literally nothing exciting or exceptional about his gane. At least Drysdale flashes at times.
If the Flyers come back with Ersson and Fedotov they won't sniff a playoff spot and the organization has made it pretty clear they plan to move to the next phase. Not making a change at the goalie position would be a fireable offense for Danny B. unless the plan is to tank for a better shot at McKenna.
