worst thing about NHL draft is that it takes 5 hours for no reason. you can easily package it in 2.5 hours. and why do we need 'celebrities' to read out the picks, just have gary the wizard read them out, get it over with.

I'm glad they selected him. I wanted Mrtka or Jake O'Brian or Roger Mcqueen. I was thinking Seattle were going to grab him because he has been playing there already. Anyway he is a solid pick with lots of potential.

I was hoping Mrtka made it to 9th. I think they def need more D men. Forwards are plentiful…even if not on Buffalo, easily attainable. I was really hoping to hear some trade noise about Byram for Kyrou. I felt the conversations were super awkward. Why even talk so much, just say thank you and congrats. I didnt like that room at all. Also, never again get a rock band introduce your pick. That whole thing was just embarassing to see…when everyone is in suits, and these 2 with coloured hair and leather jackets and then stay for photos. No wonder Gary Bettman pulled him aside for a photo of an actual professional looking draft pick. Guy only turned 18, three weeks ago, so I think the ceiling literally and figuratively may still go higher.
