Sorry, Dan, I just don't see Karlsson waiving his no move clause to go to Carolina. He doesn't seem like a fit in Brindamour's system. Columbus would be a better fit, because you could pair him with Werenski and mitigate some of the damage from Erik's lack of defensive talent.
My biggest hope, for the Pens during this offseason is to get some defensemen who can actually play defense and clear the net front. How many times did we see a goal against the Pens because both defensemen were trapped behind their own net? Or, one or both of them just stood there watching the opposition forward camp the net front waiting for that easy rebound tap in?
If they keep both picks they have to take Aitcheson with one of them (if he's still on the board). Tough mean defensemen don't exactly grow on trees anymore, and left defense is an area of need too.
Trade up and get Martone! The penguins need size and toughness that can shoot the way this kid can. NHL comparable were tkachuk and Corey Perry. Sign me up

Erik Karlsson is the hot, crazy 30-something with multiple ex-husbands and a different Dad for each kid
People are saying next years top ten are better than either of this years top two. Next years first round is better than this years top ten
Ecklund and Atchison
K.A. is a good enough for the Pens. No other defenseman will clear the net front like him.
Thanks Dan
Any chance they trade up for Mrtka? I want the 6’ 6” beast RD please.
Take 3 defenseman in a row and hope 1 pans out… then tank the season for Gavin..
I'm in no way shape or form crazy informed on these draft prospects but if Brady Martin is still there come 7-8 you gotta trade one of those picks
Aitcheson should be a top option for us. Regardless of handedness, were losing Grz and Letang might be hampered for obvious reasons.

Continue to build the system and push for the future. That has to be the direction.
how do you NOT upgrade the pens' terrible defence?
If you were the GM the pens would be far better off
