Underrated aspect of Hagens, which is why I think he'll absolutely succeed, is his supposed insane work ethic and compete level. Per reports he just always wants to get better

The Petterson one baffles me at 61st, no one was taking that guy, there were way better options that fell to 61, and then…. we traded away 69tg pick losing all those other guys. Baffling. At least they didn’t screw up the first round pick but that was the easiest decision ever so 🤷♂️

Solid draft with some promising picks from last year I feel it 2 years we should be looking very very solid
I really like both the Moore and the Simpson picks. I feel like Moore playing with 5 (correct me if I’m wrong) other B’s picks (same goes for Hagens) and Simpson playing with Zellers will allow a bit of continuity going forward.
Not saying he’ll be him but when lane was drafted he wasn’t supposed to be taken as high as he was, and he lacked NHL skill and size, time shall tell. Think overall they nailed the draft tbh, Moore, hagens and Simpson alone are unreal adds

The outside thing with hagens is a weird thing to hate we had a great 2 c for years that co trolled the game from the outside.

Don loves drafting easy players to play against that are nice kids, skilled but have no competitive edge/grit to their game. Hagens and Moore won’t stick their noses anywhere. They will be pushovers at the NHL level. These picks remind me of guys like Ryan Spooner, Fabian Lysell and Jake Debrusk. Nice kids, solid skills but they just have no edge or competitive fire at the NHL level.
