Can someone who is better than me in French help clarify something? Normally when I listen to French interviews I understand about 40-60% of what is being said, depending where they’re from. Most of the French I speak, I learned from several years of working in a garage with Gatineau coworkers. So my French is VERY regional – despite my family originally being from Montreal. But I grew up in an anglophone home in Ottawa, with very basic French I learned in school.
But when Lucas speaks French, I probably understand about 80%. And his profile says he’s from Montreal. So my question is this: Am I better able to understand him because his French isn’t super strong and he uses simpler words that I can actually understand? His accent sounds fine to me. It def not the accent here in Ottawa-Gatineau, but it sounds like a good Quebec accent to me. 🤷🏻♂️
Lucas beckman sounds like an absolute stud
