What do you think of the Deal?
Have you heard any of the talk about Bruins acquiring Martin Necas? Sounds like he wasn't feeling it with Carolina, and now again with Colorado. But he's found chemistry playing with Pasta on Czech Rep in the past. Add Zacha and you might have another Czech line 2.0 What are your thoughts? My take on the Geekie contract, I'd rather have him than DeBrusk going forward
This retooling is gonna fall short. The Bruins shown no signs of improving.
The Geekie deal is a very good one and, for once, the Bruins didn't banish a guy for scoring 30 goals.
Happy to have Geekie back. Hoping Marat can live up to the expectations. Callahan is an ok signing as an emergency call up from Providence. Don't think he is good enough to make the team outright. Ok with letting Lauko go. He worked hard but we had too many bottom six forwards

My opinion is the deal is 2 years to long and 1 million too high.
They essentially gave Morgan geekie what they refused to give Jake Debrusk who was a more reliable scorer with worse linemates.
I would have given him a 4×4.5 or hell id have even given him 2×6 to prove himself first. I watched him before he was with Pastrnak, and he looked AWFUL. Not borderline, he was brutal!
I hope it works out, but this one is risky. Especially after how the cascade of bad contracts from last year went for them.

I like the Geekie signing. He’s got a great shot and played well with Pasta and Lindholm. Let’s keep that going.
Didn't Geekie have a slow start out of training camp the year before too? Love the deal and player, but hopefully there isn't a pattern there.
i'm glad they re-signed geekie. lots of players have played with pastrnak. few have had the same success that geekie has had with him. hopefully they repeat next season. maybe geekie gets 40!

I'm happy with the geekie signing, but more happy with keeping khudobinitov or whatever. I really liked him and was sad when i thought we lost him.
Geekie is the 2nd or 3rd best player on the team and the contract is excellent. Bruins frauds don’t get it.
This is a pretty good contract if he can put up 250 points over the life of the deal.

Glad they signed Geekie for term and thrilled about Khusnutdinov. I think he could develop into a top six player.
It is not a bad deal at all for Geekie. Money and terms seem reasonable. Not a huge fan of the NTC though. They had to do this deal, not only for Geekie but also Pastrnak. The latter is our star player and deserves support. Much of the offense will come from the first trio next season. You cannot afford to mess it up.
I actually wish that we had kept Heinen as a bottom six. I was very impressed with him when he came back.

Excited about this deal and glad it got done in such a timely manner. I can't understand how folks this is overpayment for a probable 25 – 35 goals per season player. i think this is a bargain deal for the Bruins. Also happy to see them resign Khusnutdinov for pennies on the dollar. If he can grow as a scorer, with his speed, he could truly become an offensive force. Now several things I would like to see the Bruins do – 1) Address their need for a right side defenseman. 2) Make a real push to obtain Isaac Howard from the Lightening. and 3) Go after Luke Evangelista of the Predators. He has the potential to become another Morgan Geekie. P.S. Brock Boesser would be a bonus- granted a very nice one.
This deal is exactly the deal I thought the BRUINS should have offered Tyler Bertuzzi. Bertuzzi and Pasternak played really well together! Just like Geekie and Pasternak did. So glad the Bruins smartened up and signed Geekie. Are the B's finally getting it right?
Nice contract! I was worried he was going to sign for 30 goals per year money.. 20-ish is the right value and that’s about 5-6 so well done.
