  1. I would love to somehow get seider from yzerman but that's never gonna happen. Not in a million years.

  2. Just a fun question – what do you guys think would it take for the Sharks to land McDavid? Cellebrini, Eklund, Ferraro, Askarov and two 1st round picks?

  3. I feel like you're selling Graf pretty short here. He's shown he's a middle 6 NHLer already and I'd pencil him in there easily over Grundstrom who's debatably bound for the AHL. Graf is great in all situations and could be a 2nd line 2-way winger in the future if he hits.

On the defensive side, if Shakir is healthy, he's going to be in the opening lineup and stay there. He was playing incredible just before his injury, and had he played 6 less games, I'd say he's a dark horse for the Calder. Greir has also pretty much said as much as well

  4. This might be the perfect opportunity for the more mature Adam Gaudette to get his chance to play some real minutes with skilled guys. He could be a pleasant surprise.

  5. The Sharks have an extremely bright future. San Jose and Chicago are perfect examples showing how “proper rebuilds” are done.

  6. I see this team playing the role of buyers of bad contracts for picks too. If they can get some picks and a bad contract or two, itd make sense. I see Ferarro also as a potential trade candidate if they don't see him as a future top 4 D of the future

  7. I have a lot of faith in the Sharks FO. They're doing a rebuild the right way. Identify young core players, put veterans to help them, and go from there. Toffoli is the best veteran for the Sharks – they need more players like him. The real question would be…how well can the young core do? If they can keep developing and growing- they'll be cup contenders by end of decade.

  8. Even being where we are now, feels so dang relieving and exciting. Happy times to be a sharks fan again.

  9. San Jose born and raised i cant wait for the next season even if we're bad again SJ is so fun. I believe this will be the core that will bring us a cup at some point

  10. Yes he's one of my Top 10 players, but objectively you underestimate Wennberg. He adds some scoring, is a solid two-way player, and does the intangibles.

  11. If they get a RHD in next year's 1st round, they can begin to compete. Players like Keaton Verhoeff and even Ryan Lin would be perfect to pair alongside Sam Dickinson.

  12. I honestly think Grier is working a trade with one of the first round picks they have next year. He's not done yet and I think he will have a better idea of what he's looking for after development and training camp.

  13. As a Sharks Fan since their inception, we got pretty spoiled with all the Years in the Playoffs. This has been a painfully needed rebuild, it’s taken a few Years longer than I thought it would. Doug Wilson gave out a lot of long term big money contracts to aging Veterans. Grier has done a solid job getting rid of these, but it has taken time. I do believe he’s building a dynasty that will hold together until the Salary Cap doesn’t allow it too!

  14. I disagree with the veteran goalie idea. Behind Asky and Ned in the AHL they'll have Gabe Carriere, who had an excellent end to the season in my opinion. And Matt Davis who they just signed from Denver U. Now maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a vet AHL goalie but I think it's best for Davis and Carriere to get a lot of games in this year.

  15. Thx HG, sounds like Grier is waiting for a salary cap dump to pick up another Jake Walman type situation to flip for draft picks. Agree with you about the goalie problems, thought retaining Romanov would have helped. Guess we sharks fans will see how Nov-dec works out. Sure getting tired of these rebuilding excuses by Grier, like your words of support for him gives some hope for the upcoming season.

  16. I think when the Sharks want to take a step forward, they'll have to trade one of their young elite forwards (not Celebrini or Misa) for a D. As it stands in a few years, they'll have a few elite forwards too good for tanking and making a lot of money and no D besides Dickinson (if he's as good as advertised)
