Just get 1-2 months into the season like they did in 23/24. Trade prices will go down and you can give Raty and Chytil a shot at filling that role. One is a former 20 goal scorer and the other has always developed into a PPG player at every level he plays at. Don't rush anything.

This talk of 2C is getting pretty repetitive and absurd. The most importatant issue is the 3 goalie situation.
I would just like to see a responsible two-way, play-driving center who makes his wingers more effective around him. This is where I see that Pius Suter's contributions last year, and JT Miller's past ability to drive the Canucks' play, were greatly taken for granted.
Off the cuff, reacting to the title, I recall the outrage in Canuck Nation when Benning acquired JT. That trade worked out very favorably, but can the suits catch lightning in a bottle twice? Finding a player with even 75% of the character and abilities of JT would be a victory. Sadly though, timing is everything in life, and with the scarcity of reliable 2 Cs in the league, the increased cap and 3/4 of other franchises also hunting for the same piece, the likelihood of success seems doubtful, even for someone with the creativity and savvy of the veteran Rutherford's pedigree. Fingers crossed.
