  1. I disagree strongly , if they go back with what they have now, IF they make playoffs they will be out in 1st round of playoffs guaranteed!
Having a lot of players who are OK instead of trading out 3 of them to add room for 1 top 6 guy or 1st pair right hand defense .

  2. Get rid of kampf/jarnkrok/robertson. And bring in people to fill those spots. They are soft players and bring 0s in the playoffs. Get rid of bobby Mac as well he was a bust. Team is still incomplete and not built for the playoffs

  3. TOR has been allergic to right hand palyers for ever , why is that?
If TOR adds Roslovic he gets points and hey guess what he is RIGHT handed!

  4. Am I the only one who believes Laughton is going to be better next year so that he is the 3C? I think amongst him, McMann, and Roy all three are capable of scoring at least 40pts each so why not load up the 3rd line with McMann at LW, Laughton 3C and Roy on the RW? Fourth line maybe keep Kampf as the 4C to play alongside Lorentz on the left then trade Robertson and Jarnkrok for a Dakota Joshua or a Sherwood. I don't think the Leafs are making a move for a Top6 guy just yet but I like the bottom 6 if it was structured that way with high compete players.

  5. Dubas nickname should be Captain Caveman because he caves in every contract negotiation!

  6. LOL, I've been laughing my a** of talking with GPT about trade draft. And everything going on in NHL. I mentioned if I'd be a commissioner GPT wrote my letter for Gary Bettman's job. And GPT will be VP of well thought out hockey sensible takes and Jesse Blake would be my right hand man. 😂😂

  7. Matthews is no playoff captain. He is no captain period. No leadership skills. Even a 37 yr old Jonathan Toews has probably more leadership skills. His interviews say it all. The "passengers" comment this past playoffs was so Matthews. Toronto will be lucky to make 2nd round next year. Florida will chew them up again somewhere along the line. The drought will continue.

Berube is a great coach but he needs something to work with. He doesn't have much.

  8. I seem to remember either Jarnkrok, or Kampf, got their butts kicked up and down the ice during multiple game during the playoff series’. I forget which one. But Robertson is the way better choice. Plus he’s got a crazy wicked shot.

  9. Maccelli is suppose to be a defensive liability. I guess he's duct tape till the trade deadline.

  10. I love that Reaves never even gets mentioned. A mistake when they signed him. He makes 1.35$ million again and has played 49 and 35 games the last two years. He got on five playoff games his first year. He will be 39 in January.
If Matthews has devolved through injury to being a 35 goal 65 point player the Leafs are kind of cooked
Leafs need a third veteranish goalie they can count on in case woll and stolarz together cant start 82 games.

  11. Leafs projected lineup 2026:

    1st Line: Maccelli, Matthews, Knies
    2nd line: Domi, JT, Nylander
    3rd line: McMann, Roy, Robertson
    4th line: Lorentz, Laughton, Pezzetta

Extras: Kampf, Jarnkrok if they get traded????? Pacioretty????

    1st pairing: Rielly, Carlo
    2nd pairing: McCabe, Tanev
    3rd pairing: OEL, Benoit

    Goalie: Stolarz, Woll

  12. Taveras not number 2 and i know you know that. Team will be struggling to make playoffs

  13. Leafs lost a lot of pure talent in exchange for some heart, which isn't bad in their situation. They either manage to fill key positions with more heart and leadership fast, or they should consider blowing it up and rebuilding.

  14. I'll be that guy and ask, does it matter who moves where? Last years combo's were good enough for first, but not enough to beat Florida which is something they're going to have to figure out. Does anyone seriously think they have yet?

  15. McMann is not hard to play against. He needs to take a step in that department next season. And keep improving on point production.
