  1. Just stop farming for clicks.

Crosby isn’t leaving. He’s signed contracts below his market value for over a decade because he wants to stay in Pittsburgh.

He loves Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh loves him. Period. Some guys don’t need to chase the massive contract. Sid has his Stanley Cups. The Pens would pay him whatever he wants. What exactly would he be chasing?

This is Canadian fan boy fantasy.

  2. Comparing Crosby to Bourque is one of the most idiotic, zero IQ comparisons possible. Ray Bourque had to whore himself out at the end of his career to get a Cup. Crosby has three. It's not even close to being comparable. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

  3. As usual, Jesse is right and Adam is an out to lunch contrarian. You don't understand what Pit fans are feeling Adam because you have only ever known the complete opposite. You cheer for a financian juggernaut that has had zero hockey success and no offence, hasn't had a mega star. Pit has twice risen from the ashes like a phoenix on the backs of true generational (some say mt rushmore) talent to not just survive but thrive winning the most cups in the expansion era all while being a super small market team. You have no… zero, idea of the attatchment betweenSid, the city and the fans of the team. Now that is not your fault… but this is not Mats Sundin playing for Vancouver. Trading Rust is roughly the equivalent of trading Sundin (obviously Sundin was better and the captain but Rust is in the leadership and was a huge part of WINNING). The Pens are making hard decisions, ie Guentzel, but they are not trading away Sid, Geno or Letang unless those guys want to go and at this point, why would they want to? Marner is one of the better leafs all time, do you think hes getting a statue? These guys might be and they are walking distance from the end.

  4. PENS fans want Sid: Crosby could be (50), we don't care– he got us three Cups and there is no better veteran presence.

  5. Its not a discussion crosby has a full no move clause he decides if he wants traded and he has made it quite clear he has no desire to leave pittsburgh

  6. Carolina is the only team that could do the trade they are talking about and they need a center.

  7. The Pittsburgh Penguins will never "move on" from Sid and Sid will never leave the Pittsburgh Penguins. Stop the insanity.

  8. If pitt finds a 3rd party to retain (again) on karlsson to help broker the deal, you're telling me the leafs wouldn't benefit? Give pitt your 4th D in your top 4 and a prospect and first round pick. Pitt sends the first or prospect tto the 3rd team brokering the deal.

  9. Reaves is gone. Sad day for TO. They lost a great goal scorer. And everyone in the league is scared of him. Who is TO's tough guy now? Domi? We are doomed.

  10. They are already trading a bunch of other guys for futures you need a decent veteran leader who can Shepard them along and he wants to do that like lemieux did for him

  11. Coming from a Pens fan, the Penguins should most definitely trade Sid. I love Sid as much as the next Penguins fan, but I don't want the Penguins to fail to get McKenna because of Sidney Crosby's brilliance. Mark Recchi, Jaromir Jagr, Ron Francis, Luc Robitaille, and Larry Murphy all got traded. Lemieux is the only legend from those Penguins teams who retired as a Penguin. As much as it would break the hearts of Penguins fans, including myself, it's best for the Penguins to get assets in return for Crosby.

  12. I want to love Adam so much but he's gotta get off this train, this is basically conspiracy theory in the world of NHL media

  13. Not a team in the league gives Pittsburgh 2 or 3 of their top prospects plus 2 top draft picks for 3 years for Crosby……..if a gm did that he would literally have to be taken for a mental evaluation……..not hard to see why Adam is a talking head and not involved in hockey…..

  14. Crosby is doing a disservice to hockey fans by choosing to waste his career for that garbage franchise, front office and ownership

  15. The Penguins Superman…this story line (if there is actually any story line) is intriguing as a super hero having to make a difficult decision. He loves the Penguins organization and wants to stay. But maybe the way he can help the organization best might be to permit himself to be traded for his high value for future success. Maybe the best way he can help is to help raise the kids coming in over the next few years. I can understand how he'd want to stay and only play for one team, which is very respectable. But it's also respectable if he want to help the Penguins by giving them more high end prospects. Will the super hero make that sacrifice? Or will he find a way to save the day by staying there and making the unlikely victory several years down the road? Either way I'm glad he gets to do what he feels is best.
