Based on the injury history, I would be surprised if it is 6 years
better be 3 or the Canucks have made a big mistake
And then trade him
With the cap going way up, Demko would be smart to sign a three year deal. If he stays healthy, he’ll get the bag with his next contract
Sign and trade Demko for 2nd line center
Trade Hronek for Byram
Either it's max year deal or 3. But with his injury history, anything other 6.5 is overpayment
PRETTY MUCH THEYRE GONNA let silovs get taken for free and not have any asset management is what hes saying
-Should trade silovs, lekkermaki and cootes, 1 round pick (add whatever else you have to) for a legit second line centre (like tage thompson) (then make tage first line and 11.6m second line)
-then play lankinen and demko 50/50 split this season and build demkos value and trade him for a first… then sign a cheaper veteran backup for lanky
But nope this management group has no assets management
Canucks are horrible at asset management…..Other teams know they can't carry 3 goalles, so they will either lose Silovs for nothing or get a very poor return…
