  1. LA Kings will slowly fade away starting in the 2025-26, they will barely and if not make the playoffs…Perry will not be a factor, he just won't…Kings only look good on paper, a team starting a decline followed by years futility…that is hockey…

  2. How to "tweak" the Kings defense, an essay by Ken Holland. Subtract the second defense pair. Promote the third defense pair (without merit) to be the new second defense pair. Sign 2 more dinosaurs to be a fourth level defense pair that will play as the new third defense pair. Cool? Cool.

  3. Thanks for this , as being a LA KINGS fan living in edmonton, I thought we could have done it but not meant to be lol thanks for ur videos there awesome

  4. They traded Spence because he wanted a bigger role on the team but they dont trust him enough to give him one. I liked Spence and I can remember a few good moments from him this year but if Im being completely honest I dont think they are going to miss him much.

  5. Something tells me they're going to lose in the Stanley cup finals , just got this strange feeling..

  6. The pacific is soooo weak. Vegas edmonton, la. Seattle, vancouver, like thats dog water, then theres anaheim s.j. and calgary. Realistically thats 5 or 6 wild cars hopefulls but 3 are gonna make it. Seeding and quals need to chg

  7. Like you mentioned, I'm not sure we got better, but we definitely didn't get worse. There's clearly a winning formula for the regular season now with this team, and adding these other guys to our depth…we really won't know what impact it will have until the playoffs. I think we could get past any other team in R1 if it's not EDM lol.

  8. They need their young players to step up in a major way to be successful next year. Like you said, Byfield needs to take that next step and establish the consistency he needs to be a true 1C. Clarke needs to break out (and should have a good chance with more ice time and consistent PP time). Laferriere needs to have another good year and improve on his consistency – ideally being at least a 20g, 50 point winger. Then on the defense, Ceci NEEDS to be regulated to the 3rd pair. In a 3rd pair role, he's probably fine. If they start giving him ice time over Clarke, the Kings are going to have BIG issues. It'll be really interesting to see how it all works out next season.

  9. I dont like the Ceci signing at all he's just not a good defensmen, Doumalin doesn't really bother me that much it's a little high and a little long but not excessively really for a weak pool of defensive free agence kind of not out of line, i wont complain too much about the foword signings Perry aside from from the Blasphemy of Corey Perry wearing an LA Kings jersey, it isnt a bad signing reasonable contract with performance bonuses and LA really does need a nasty player adding that he's apparently still able to score potentially 20 goals is an added bonus, and Armia has kind of a Warren Foegle feel to it not offensive production necessarily but impact on the game, my only problem is are they blocking younger players such as Turcotte, Hellenius and Andre Lee specfically, who might have a higher upside, longer term, from getting games that are needed for improvement

  10. Great analysis. Spence requested a trade, probably due to Hiller screwing him during the playoffs, not giving him time. Probably undersized for our system, but Ottawa will love him I think. Ceci makes my head spin, he must have naked photos of Holland somewhere. I would like to see Dumo play with Clarke rather than Eddie, I think he would be a better fit as Dumo's mobility and hands would benefit Clarke's game. I know that's putting 2 pylons on the 3rd d-pair, but I would rather have those 2 skate less and sit back more to minimize mistakes. Perry in a Kings uni seems dirty, but he always seems to make it to the finals and he can only win Cups playing for a California team, so there's hope I suppose. Appreciate this Shannon!

  11. Both of the defenseman signings will have better then expected regular seasons , but more because of what the kings do as a team defensively. They might have the best group of defensive forwards in hockey, look at how great the stats of goalies has been recently playing in LA, talbot, copley, korpisalo

  12. As a Kings fan, losing Gavrikov stings. The Spence trade reminds me of the Sean Durzi trade because look how well he is doing with the Coyotes/Utah Mammoth

I expect this season to be Kopitar's last so the Kings need Quinton Byfield to have a big year

  13. Dont forget turcotte! He has the talent to be a top six center,( if he can stay healthy), he is very good! Ideally i see him being a second hand center …

  14. Spence left because Hiller wasn't playing him and his line in the playoffs and then they fell to the Oilers, again. Spence's exit stemmed from Hiller's mistrust of the third line, for whatever reason. Hiller is likely going to be on a short leash next season.
But, concerning the 25-26 season, only when the season rolls out, will we be able to tell how effective/ineffective Holland's deals were. We can speculate all we want, but we'll never truly know until the product is put on the ice. A lot can be said about team chemistry. It may be there, it may not be there. GKG!

  15. Im pretty hopeful for the Kings this coming season.. they've made it to the playoffs consistently, only to lose to the team that goes on to the finals. They maintained the players that got them to the playoffs this past season and buffed up the lower end line ups and pairings with admittedly older but proven post-season performers. They never looked closer to beating the finals contenders than this past season and have replaced the players that coach refused to play and/or acquired those with similar stats to replace those who refused to sign back up with the team. Im excited to see how the season starts and if they will develop strong team cohesive play. (or Im just a delusional Kings fan praying that Ken Holland is actually cooking up something beautiful instead of handicapping the team)

  16. This looks like a team that MUST swing big at the trade deadline. Especially if they meet Edmonton in R1 again, they need some sort of superstar to keep up with McJesus. As we've seen with Toronto, running it back is no longer a viable option
