Stop trading first round picks like the losers in Toronto who are allergic to draft picks
Depends on the cost
Id give up everything except for willander and cootes
according to hockey analytics he’s expected to get around 6.75M AAV for 5 or 6 years on his new contract. 6.8M or so is when a team must forfeit their 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks for RFA compensation. that’s around the value I believe Anaheim is probly looking for. That means a 1st, Lekkerimaki and something else (roster player or 3rd round pick for instance) should get a deal done.
If the team is looking to win in the near future and steer away from a complete rebuild, I say go and get this guy. He's a leader, he can score, has size and an edge, he's Canadian and he's young and will improve. We have the assets on D, go get him.
The question you have to ask yourself is, Are the Canucks a contender with McTavish on their roster and if not how close are they? And if the answer is, MAYBE they make the playoffs, I wouldn't do it under any circumstances. When you're not a playoff team, you're an idiot to trade 1st round picks. Those are there to help you rebuild your team into a contender, if you draft well. You don't win by getting a guy who is clear of their ELC and about to making the big bucks while giving up the farm. How much better are they with McTavish on their team? I would argue not enough to justify giving up those assets.
Man you guys are worse than new General manager trying to make an impression. Grow from within ffs. Just keep stacking picks and grow the farm.
Don’t want to see them trade Willander or D-Petey, but would 100% have no issue having a trade package include some combination of Lekkermaki or Mancini, with 1st rd pick 2026 and roster player
I'd love to see McTavish in a Canucks uniform but I don't think we have the assets unfortunately. Would they take chytil in a package as a return piece to fill a center slot? Or would they have interest in Raty down the middle?
Would have no problem moving our first for a 22 yr old, I just don't know what else we could provide to sweeten the pot and get a deal done.
How about a mountain of 4th Rd picks?

I don't know much about the situation. But why not resign as a Duck for 2 seasons. Avoid the hassle of arbitration and show the world what you got. This will be a different team under Quenneville. I think McTavish is only going to get better.
To me it's a no brainer, sign a deal. And if you still don't like it after 2 seasons than request a trade and sign elsewhere. This Ducks team is going to be great…
If Vancouver trades lankanen instead of Silovs, they would have about 4mill cap space from that
If the Canucks kept Joshua and didn't go for Kane they would have another 2mill.
Add to that Suter's money…
If two of those decisions were not made, the Canucks could already afford McTavish
Our prospects are just that, prospects. Theyre unproven. Canucks are trying to "win now" so ya Id sell at least part of the farm for a more "sure thing" in Mctavish. Plus Lekkerimaki is a small, light forward, Mctavish is a big boy who can play a much harder game which is more a second line center roll. Plus, although Mctavish was born in Switzerland, hes grown up playing with Canadian boys and knows the Canadian game. We could use more of that Canadian style on the team.
No. Save our farm for the next inevitable rebuild that is coming.
I'd do a 1st and a top tier prospect for sure.
Lekkermaki looks like a perimeter player like Jake Virtannen. I'm not very excited by him. Trading him as part of a package for McTavish would be fine with me.
I would try to get him for certain. Cost is always the factor
Hog, a first and probably Willander is what this would take
Yup I go all in on him
No.
2026 1st top 10 protected, lekki, hoggy c ya
Not Willander. No way. Lekkerimaki and a 1st, sure. Hoggy, a 2nd and Mancini?
They might sell a few cases of bottled milk but definitely not the farm.
I’d give up Lekkermaki, and a second and a 4 th round pick as an offer. Plus a goalie
Facts = We will never win the lotto.
2026 1st (no lotto protection) + Willander + Klimovich/Raty/Karlsson + Chytil) = Mctavish (3rd overall) + 4th round pick
I gave a high price based on in division trade, and Anaheim being in middle spot of needs to get better but not in a rush.
No, no, noooo. Top up from Abotsford!!!
Lekkerimaki is the only pure shooter we have after brock.
Willander is expendable with Mancini
So
Willander/Mancini, 1st, 2nd, Salarydump is what I'd offer
McTavish for a young roster player + Willander + an unprotected '26 1st rounder. IF that's the cost you're crazy not to. There's no way Lekkerimaki gets it done vs Willander.
Go hard after him
He has size and most of all he’s Canadian
Great replacement for Miller
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IT!!! Only 22yo. Former Team Canada awesomeness
It has to be realistic. The guy is good but hes not Conor McDavid. A first rounder, a top prospect (not named Cootes or Willander), a roster player and maybe a B list prospect (Bains or Kudratsyev). If its going to cost even more than walk away. Go with Chytil and hope Raty can take a step and Cootes develops fast.
Yes
Yea, that's a really tough call. On one hand, Petey, McTavish, and Chytil down the middle sounds awesome. A healthy team + McTavish is solid, and the first rd pick could end up being in the 20s, and much easier to part with. We have some other promising RD prospects and desperately need to improve the top six.
On the other hand, Willander is a stud on an elc and could legitimately make this the best d core in the league.
I think I'd rather wait until some teams start falling out of the playoff race and becoming sellers. That said, I'd still be excited if this trade happened
No Willander, cootes, or Mancini then go for it.
yes lerkamaki 1st chytil minio for mctavash
Getting rid of Miller is costing a lot.
Chytil, Hoglander, lekkermaki, and a pick. Show Hughes and the fans you wanna be a contending team. Get it done.
McTavish isn’t leaving Anaheim all these reports about him are funny to me as a ducks fan
Yes!
How many players on vancouver.team and farm team.its a team that have not got to play a game together.trade talks done till play ten games together.stop making up B's.
Start at Willander, bottom 6 forward, and top 6 protected 1st rounder. If they have to give up Hogs then do it!
We can rebuild with all those 4th rounder picks🤣🤣
Lekermaki Hoglader 1st round 4th round for mctavish
Canucks should hold onto Willander. Would consider parting ways with him if we keep our first rounder. Anaheim can't have both.
I would go as high as Chytil, Lekkerimaki, Mancini and a pick for Mctavish
Willander, Cootes and Medvedev would be non starters for me.
I wouldn't trade D Petey
Thats for sure
Remember that Buffalo wanted Willander or D Petey 1st Joshua For Byram
And Alviin said No
So stupid if they do this
Allvin is driving the team into the ground, just another year before we end up in the Top 10 for the draft.
Armchair GMs. Not real reporting.
