Karlsson is the worst defensively than Rielly. He had a 101 point season he was -26. In 1084 games he is a -123.
I dont think that is a good trade for the Leafs,, salary too large for a guy who is 35….one injury away from retirement

After a tough struggle to adjust to Berube's system Reilly's play greatly improved alongside Carlo and had 4 goals and 3 assists in the 13 playoff games. Those saying he should be traded truly show their hockey ignorance.

Karlsson would be better than any defenseman the Leafs currently have. He'd be an upgrade from Reilly in some sort of straight swap. But if the problem with your team was too much money distributed among too few players. Why would you add a ten million dollar player?

We have a dman who WANTS to be in Tor. He took less (yes, at the time he could have had 8-9) and signed an 8 year deal. He fits in nicely with Carlo. He is the least of our problems. Not his fault Dubas and co couldn't draft a decent puck moving dman the entire time he was here…oh he did in Sandin and traded him. We need another puck mover, not take one away.
