Unlikely, but it would be funny to see Zdeno take the Presidency and Patrice be the new GM. Doubt he even wants the job, but.
I don't understand where the Sweeney hate comes from the biggest mistake he's made in the past decade was reading away ullmark before we had a contract in place for Swayman. Otherwise I can't think of much he's done terribly wrong. He doesn't have a good drafting track record but when has he even had really good first round picks to work with when we won the cup in 11 and we're back in the finals in 13 and 19 you just aren't going to get low first round picks when you enjoy that level of sustained success. I don't see a better GM on the market do you?
Sweeney gets a bad wrap for the 2015 draft, but that’s 10 years ago. Losing to the Blues in the 7th game at home and the Panthers playoffs debacle. Sweeney did miracles loading up for the Cup in 23, that’s not on him. Agree, Chara would be a good Neely replacement. No clue on who to replace GM ?
