I'm not going to throw away a 2 round pick and Robinson for him he's 37 years old he could retire end of the contract what if he do get the player and he he doesn't play well or gets injured to me that's a gamble yes I understand that Toronto is in a win mode but given up a player plus a second round pick no thinks

The problem is they've been trying to trade Robertson and they can't. They will have to place him on waivers and hope a team picks him up for nothing. If that doesn't happen they will have to eat $700,000 of his pay for 1 year and he is arbitration eligible after the year is which means they have to give him another contract. Jarnkrok is done after this year. He is also another player that can't be traded for anything substantial and same with Kampf. Jarnkrok has 1 more season left and Kampf 2 seasons. The best they can do is future considerations.
Just give Robertson some actual game time. Try 10 games in a row. Give the guy some confidence for a change. Pretty hard to play on such thin ice. He deserves a real look. He does find his way on the board so just go with him.
What if you do that trade with the second rounder only if the wild retains 75% of Zuccs contract
This trade makes no sense, leafs need a bonafide top 6 winger and an aging Zuc isn't going to cut it. Send Pezz and Thrun to the minors + move Kampf, Jarnkrok and Robertson. Then they have around 8.4M for a real top 6 player. That should be the end goal by trade deadline.
