#nhl #nhlnews #nhlrumors #hockey #hockeynews #hockeytalk

Personally I'm not worried about Huberdeaus contract in the future. I'm worried more about Kadri aging badly before we move him.
Yeah, that Jonathan contract really hurts, although he is still putting up decent offense, just more at a secondary option pace. If he was making 6M there would be no worries.
I don’t believe in tanking either! Just a reminder, Huberdeau doesn’t have the talent around him. Say Huberdeau, Kadri and Marner for example. A top 1C and right winger on his line. Would make a world of difference. GFG!!!
I'm not worried with the raising cap. It'll be 114m in 3 years, so Huberdeau's contract will be 9.2% of the team's overall cap. Then the year after that, Kadri's contract comes off the books. Coronato and Bahl just signed contracts that will age well with the increasing cap too. Itll all even out.
Im not worried about calgarys cap position if anything they are in a really good position contrary to what outside media thinks.
Not really wprried about it. Im assuming theyll stay mid
I don't think the Huberdeau contract is really going to impact their competitive window.
You have to remember that, even if they draft a superstar like McKenna, it will take 3 or 4 years before that player is in their prime and they're unlikely to start trading away futures until then. Those 3 to 4 years of additional drafts will be producing players who will join the team on ELCs for years to come, and that will offset the negative impact of the Huberdeau contract.
