This was a rumor before but now it is so real Connor McDavid is going to leave Edmonton now.I think he is willing to because he loves Toronto already he is from Toronto his mom n dad are in Toronto he started skating in Toronto.He looks very good n a Toronto jersey

I met Connors uncle about few years back here in Edmonton.. I told him I bled blue and white but thought his nephew was awesome.. He told me that it was Connors dream to play for the Leafs, that look of disappointment at the draft in his eyes was very real(according to his uncle).. His uncle said he believed that when the opportunity made itself happen, Connors would jump at the chance to play in fromlnt of his hometown, family and friends he grew up with.. Yes his wife did start a very successful business here in Edmonton, but Toronto area would be a perfect way to expand out in the east…
He can make way more sponsorship money by playing for the Leafs

McDavid more than deserves to be the highest paid in the NHL, but if he wants a Cup, he should follow Crosby's lead and take less money so they can afford to surround him with better players. Last year the Panthers 3rd line was making around15 million, the Oilers 3rd line was making about 5 million. He can have top money, but if he chooses the big money, he can kiss the Cup good-bye.

Way I see it, this year for the Leafs is a "show McDavid what he can join to win the Cup" year. If the Leafs are closer to the Finals and lose, then the McDavid dream can finally come true! He'll be the hero of his hometown for decades to come.
