Rick Tocchet belongs in the HOF. How many players have had 2500+ PIM and 10+ twenty goal seasons? Pretty short list I’d imagine.

The goal this season is not playoffs – either you beat the stuffing out of the Pens and finish ahead of them in the standings to rub it in their faces, or tank even harder and secure Mckenna, and rub it in their faces 😉
Philly could score 10 goals in a game and still lose until they solve their goalie problems.
Grans got a couple games last year and I could see him pushing to make the team out of camp.

It's wild to think this will be the first time Zegras has played under an NHL caliber coach. Easily the most overhated player in the league (and one of the most underrated by many fans). He acceded to the demands of Cronin and fine tuned his 200 foot fundamentals while remaining a threat every time he was on the ice. Cronin employed a system completely incompatible with his skillset (and the Ducks' roster collectively) which adversely impacted teamwide production. He's gonna pop with Michkov and/or Konecny and be a 70+ point guy health permitting, Philly's getting one of the most cerebral playmakers and processors of the game on the planet
They need a true number 1 center, defenceman, and goalie. Until they draft and develop these, all they're doing is spinning their tires. Come on Danny B….I'm rooting for you.
I hope Zegras can get his groove back – he looked miserable last year.
This team is too good for McKenna, but not playoff caliber. Similar spot to 10 years ago, but good young talent and solid prospect pool this time around. Need draft lottery luck and/or steals like Michkov at 7. Zavragin is putting up Sorokin-like KHL-numbers, COULD be a solution in net. Need to figure out 1C and 1D still – one of McKenna or Dupont as a franchise piece?
Can Gritty play wherever is needed? Still rebuilding, and let's see if the team gets better offensively under Tocchet with the new additions. 7th in the Metro with 71-76 points.
I wonder how Zegras will like playing in Philly? Hopefully he gets his game back.
During the 2020 season the Flyers had a good start of the season because of the line of Coot's, TK , and Oscar Lindblom but around Christmas Oscar got diagnosed with cancer and he happened to be one of the leading scorers of the team. I don't think the team ever rebounded from that season.
I don't ask for much in this world, but I want a wildcard spot. I just need playoff hockey back in Philly.

I don't think you're underestimating the Flyers. They're just not very good. At some point, they have to fix the goaltending, and I don't know if Vladar is the answer. He may be better than what they had last year, so that's a start.

Word, Goaltending! Imagine a team lead the league in block shots #1 with 1,455 and the shots that got by the D, embarrassing goalies. I believe Tippett will rebound if not traded, Travis, Couts, were all subpar. More goals scored by the Flyers, can the backstop make the big saves when needed.
I think Martone is a future 1st line wing alongside Michkov, Flyers gotta try to get Verhoeff in the draft. McKenna would obviously be amazing but Michkov has that 100pt potential and they don't gave a top defencemen; Verhoeff definitely has what it takes to be that
