  1. Love the Sharks, hoping for much better years to come!

Personally hoping Shakir Mukhamadullin ends up as a Sharks great just to see you fit that name on the board next time 🦈

Edit: damn near perfect list. I'd have loved to see Dan Boyle on it, but not a huge complaint.

  2. Irbe was the goalie whose name got chanted at the Shark Tank in their first season there, including that surprise playoff run. I think he was more remembered because he was the first 'star' in the eyes of fans.

Liked Melker because he was a good forechecker until his body gave out. Missing include Igor Larianov who was the key to the first playoff runs. Douglas Murray because no one hit harder. Dan Boyle, good player, fiery on the ice, outspoken off it. Only one season of John Scott, but he did make an impression. Scott Hannan would have been a worthy mention, too. And of course, Jonathan Cheechoo.

  3. Simply tragic that those Sharks teams from the mid 2000s through the late 2010s could never get that Cup

  4. Great list. Mine would have Erik Karlsson. Loved him when he was in Ottawa. Felt so bad seeing go through the trade but was happy to have him on the team. Just a really nice guy.

  5. 50% overlap with my list, but no arguing with any of your picks. As a day one Sharks fan, my personal top ten are Thornton, Vincent Damphousse, Pavelski, Nolan, Ricci, Jamie Baker, Couture, Dan Boyle, Marleau, and Clowe, while my biggest “I just liked him” guys are probably Baker and Nils Ekman.

  6. Joe Pavelski just might be one of my favorite human beings ever. There's few players I rooted for that hard to win a cup, but it never happened.

I got a soft spot in my heart for Melker Karlsson

  7. Wow. I get it. It's your favorite, but it's one of the few times i disagree with the list. So many names left off, and there are too many new sharks who should not have been on there. (Cheechoo, Marchment, Sturm, Baker, Larionov, Odgers,Ragnarsson).

  8. Jeff Friesen. Oh man, that game 7 goal vs. Ottawa. That was the Sens' Stanley Cup. I can hardly think of him on another team besides the Devils. Gotta have Labanc. Staten Island guy. And Kelly Hrudey. Watched him as a goalie with the Islanders at the start and later as an announcer with the Flames. I know he was with the Sharks but didn't see too many of those games.
