  1. If you're Edmonton, you give him your best contract offer and sign the BEST players you can get now and pray to the hockey gods. Don't make the same mistake as the AVS did with Milko Raantenen. It looked right initially and look what happened.

  2. Gretzky was considered "untouchable" but still got traded. If Edmonton has a poor year and are out of the playoffs at the deadline, im 100% sure Stone and Eichel will land on LTIR to bring McD to Vegas. Will he stay there, who knows.

Edmonton far overrated again this year IMO. Besides McD and Draisatl, nobody that jumps out. RNH can be good on the PP, Bouchard is one of the most over rated D men in the league. Complete defensive liability that people swoon over cause of his point production. They still have suspect D, and have only slightly upgraded their goalie. The 2 things that have cost them the cup 2 years in a row and no major upgrades made.

  3. This is all an act to push management into making more changes to the roster. Superstars in the NBA do this all the time. Threaten to leave (or at least admit it’s a possibility) unless the team shows you they are all-in. Then resign.

  4. He should leave and come to the caps now that they have space cause ovi’s contract is up. No bias from a caps fan here at all

  5. I don't know, man. Sure, they did not win the Stanley Cup, but they were as close as you can get those two years.

How likely is it that you manage to get to the Finals with another team when there are so many different factors to consider…

But I guess we will see in due time

  6. If McDavid is traded, it would be uncomparable…. Gretzky as he entered the chat 👀

  7. This is what happens when you have a terrible gm who always is in the right place at the right time Stan Bowman is garbage. How do you get rid of McLeod, Broberg, and Holloway all guys breaking out do you know how good they could’ve been with Savoie and Howard but then again Edmonton will probably trade them too

  8. Any megastar like McDavid can easily get away with signing a one or two year deal. Term shouldn’t be an issue when your stock is that high. Every team will be willing to pay insane money for him. Going somewhere long term potentially locks the door on opportunities to win. I expect him to resign with Edmonton for two years tops.

  9. Bros not winning a cup here. They need to trade him and do. Serious retool if they want to be a cup contender

  10. I think I would enjoy more trading in the NHL, the regular season is a little bit lengthy (IMO) and would be fun to see different players switch it up every 3-5 years. Could get some banger teams together

  11. If I was him I’d sign 1 more year and see what happens, probably an all or nothing season for the franchise

  12. Funny you said there’s no way you trade him, best player in the league👍
Same could have been said about Gretzky and they just came off a Cup win…

  13. It's the 2026, McDavid has lost his third straight Stanley Cup Final to the Florida Panthers in an unprecedent 3-peat-sweep, with Stan Bowmen's Oilers not able to win a single game against the kitties. Desperate for a taste of victory McDavid signs with Florida as a free agent for league minimum. The Florida Panthers never lose again and the league is officially renamed to the PHL.

  14. Anyone with a brain could easily tell he has no desire to re-sign. But, keep coping idiots.

  15. The closest comparison if he signs elsewhere would be the Tavares signing, if he's traded there was this other oiler in the 80s who was the best player in the world and also got traded

  16. Sorry but Holy fuck the outside noise about this is annoying af and also completely different from people who actually follow the organization and McDavid. I knew since the exit interviews 100% McDavid will be extending in Edmonton. It'll be a 4-8 year deal for whatever dollar amount he wants and it'll be sometime in early September. McDavid has been off having a joint honeymoon with his running mate and only recently got back into town.
I've had zero doubt about this for months. I can't wait for this he's going to x team for a 3rd rounder and a 5 dollar bill shit to die.

  17. I just want you all to know that Conor isn't resigning in Edmonton as he and his family have already found a new house in TORONTO , where he plans on plans on signing with next season !!!!!! THIS ISN'T A PREDICTION , it's a A SPOILER !!!!! ROFLMAO !!!! SLOW NEWS DAY ECK??????

  18. I'd laugh my ass off if they trade him and then they win the Cup. It would free up a bunch of money to fix other deficiencies

  19. I wouldnt hate him or boo , been watching the oilers for a long time… He deserves a cup forsure

  20. 3 year 11m aav tradable at request after 2 years giving edminton a chance but having the choice to go
