C.Mcdavid is NOT getting any younger, he's not the ultimate kind of superstar that can will a team to a championship by himself. That said, I really can't see how he looks at the roster and decides it's good enough and signs a contract that will take him to the END of his prime. Does he really wanna pull a Thornton and be shopped to different contenders at the end of his career to sit as a passenger to win a cup?
I'm beginning to think he doesn't sign a contract and instead pulls a Gaudreau next summer.

It's not necessarily the soft goals that killed them. It was the fact that it was against Florida. Even legitimate goals that go in aganst a team like Florida, that locks you down like a vice, put you behind the 8-ball. Now, compound that with average goaltending at best, and you get the results Edmonton got.

As an Oilers fan, he will sign in Edmonton again otherwise expect the city to become Cleveland 2.0 when LeBron made his announcement for Miami. That said, I'm confident this team will win a cup this year with the personnel they have.
