  1. Nip the "throwing your body to the ground." Looking forward to what is hopefully positive changes.

  2. Omg oilers channel, starting off the season with a stu skinner interview is absolutely outrageous!!! We need to trade this guy immediately

  3. FINALLY, a goalie coach that's holding these guys accountable to look at how they're playing and find ways to improve that. Going into last season Skin was asked what he worked on in the offseason and he said nothing, just doing the same thing and we saw the results of that

  4. He needs to deliver a better SV%. Sub .900 isn't going to cut it.
For the past 3 seasons (since he became the Oilers' de facto #1 goalie), his SV% has been .913, .905, and .896 during the regular season and .883, .901, and .889 during the postseason. Sure, he outplayed Ottenger, but he also got pulled a lot. This isn't good enough for a team to win the Cup.
I hope for everyone's sake that, with the new goalie coach, he delivers a consistent season.

  5. Yes just what we need a goalie who consistently allows goals on the first 10 shots, he dosen't deserve a deal a nickle over 1 million

  6. I'm gonna say this year will be Skinner's best so far. He's been through the highs and lows and I think that experience will all come together this year. Let's go Stu!!

  7. Attitude of gold and I think Stu is going to match that in his play this year. He’s young and has a helluva foundation already.

He’s going to play to the level of his moustache

  8. “I know how to start games”….last year after game 1 – his comments “the game was too fast for me”

  9. To all the Stu Haters, who would you bring in that this is going to significantly raise the bar? Where are you getting the ten million to pay such a net minder? Which Oilers are you going to let go, and how do you convince the player to waive their no-move clause to have the money to pay that net minder? Who would make the trade to send us a top net minder and eat much of the money? Then, when all is said and done, what was a bigger problem in the final, top-line scoring or the net-minding?

  10. I haven't watched this yet but I'm prepared to learn more about Stu in the next 7 minutes than I've learned about the rest of the team combined all of last season

  11. Stu needs to stay back in crease.
They broke down his game last year in finals, and when he stayed deep in the net, it was easier for him.
When he started coming out, trying to square up with the shooter was where he struggled because of his lateral movement.
Hopefully, he worked on that during the summer
